What's On
The Great Wight Bite will be taking over stunning Northwood House in Cowes on 7 & 8 September for a weekend of gastronomic indulgence and cracking entertainment.
The foodie festival will be jam packed full of delicious street food traders from across the Island and the south coast, as well as some brilliant retail therapy courtesy of the Island’s best artisan food, drink and craft producers. Sit back and watch the Island’s very best talent on the Chefs Demo Stage, hosted TV presenter Chris Bavin and welcoming one of the UK’s most loved Italian chefs, Gennaro Contaldo.
The Masterclass Kitchen is where to find local food and drink producers showing off their talents, and the Little Chefs Den is the place for budding cooks with a range of amazing classes to book, curated by The Little Gloster. This year's event will also include cooking classes for grown-ups thanks to the Epicurean Sailor. Plus, there's no need to leave the pooch at home the Great Wight Bite is dog friendly, even featuring a 'Barkour' dog agility course and selection of tasty treats for your four legged friend!
Bars will be brimming with craft ales, expertly crafted spirits and award-winning wines - and it wouldn’t be a festival without some great live music! Stick around on the Saturday for the Ultimate Elton tribute from 7pm.

Getting There
From Southampton: Hop on board our Hi-Speed Red Jet service to West Cowes and sail over on a day return for just £12.90 per adult and £6.40 per child when you book your ticket in advance on this page. You'll find Northwood House just a 10-minute uphill walk from West Cowes terminal, or alternatively, take the Southern Vectis No.1 from outside M&S in Cowes (Carvel Lane) and alight at Park Gates.
By bus: From Newport, take the Southern Vectis no.1 and alight at Rashley's. Plan your journey here.
By car: Northwood House, Ward Avenue, Cowes, PO31 8AZ. If arriving from Southampton, depart East Cowes terminal, turn right at the mini roundabout and follow the signs to Cowes Floating Bridge to take you across the River Medina to West Cowes, priced at £3.00 per car. See the route here.
