Bronze Winner of Best Island Event in the 2024 Red Funnel Island Awards, Riverfest is a fun free community event which takes place every May by the River in the heart of Newport.
Bronze Winner of Best Island Event in the 2024 Red Funnel Island Awards, Riverfest is a fun free community event which takes place every May by the River in the heart of Newport.
The event has all the feel of a traditional village fete, with many free activities for children. Local charities attend promoting the work they do in the community, helping people and the local environment.
There is no entrance fee for visitors, and you can look forward to lots of tasty food & drink stalls, craft stalls and live entertainment including carnival performances. Riverfest is organised by Newport Carnival & Community Events Association, a local carnival group, who has a passion for events on the Isle of Wight.
