The Runway Run is back!
Lace up your trainers and head to Southampton Airport on Sunday 20 July for a 5k with a difference, while raising money for our Charity of the Year, Hampshire & IOW Air Ambulance.
The unique event offers runners the rare opportunity to race on the airport’s smooth, straight tarmac.
With a pre-dawn warm-up and a 05:30 start, it’s the perfect setting to chase a personal best while experiencing the thrill of running on an active runway.

Entry is £30 per person and places are limited. There are just 1,000 places up for grabs, so register today to secure your spot!
Entry is open to everyone aged 14 and above. Terms and conditions apply.
Timings:
Check in opens: 04:30
Warm up: 05:20
Start time: 05:30
Finish time: 06:30
Please be aware that due to departing flights and the need to reopen the runway, the event has a strict one-hour time limit, and all participants must complete the run by 06:30.
The difference you’ll make:
Every participant will be running and raising funds for HIOWAA'S Operation Airbase Appeal. £3.6 million needs to be raised to move their airbase to near Southampton Airport. Find out more here.
Getting There
By car: Southampton Airport, Southampton, Hampshire, SO18 2NL
By train: Take the train from Southampton Central to Southampton Airport Parkway.
By bus: Hop on the U1A from Platform Road and stay on the bus until Southampton Airport Parkway station.
